Jesus Will Bring You Home
I had played in local Cleveland bands The Lost Souls , The Choir and Moses From 1965 till about 1971 and I was getting rundown and not very satisfied .
It's around then I had a personal experience with the Lord got baptized in the Holy Spirit and my feelings started to change about music and relationship . I left the band Moses, broke up with my girlfriend and it seemed at the time lost my friends ,
I had a dream I was broken and falling apart . I went down to the beach by Lake Erie in Euclid with my guitar and when I got there I started to weep . At some point while crying I felt a closeness and warmth of comfort and presence of love come over me which I had never experienced before . ( I believe now it was the Holy Spirit )
I grabbed my guitar and word by word the song two verses were written ( I wrote the third verse years later ) . The song is called Jesus Will Bring You Home and it was the first song I ever wrote where it seemed obvious the Holy Spirit was inspiring me
Here's a song for the brokenhearted lover in a broken love affair.
